  1. Breakfast: @HealthyLivingVT chicken liver & heart pâté on Red Hen's Cyrus Pringle bread, w/lactofermented dill pickles & heirloom apple.
  2. Today, Netflix determined that I like "French Con-Game Dramas" & "Visually-striking Cerebral Movies from the 1980s." Who would have known?
  3. Leisurely brunch at Penny Cluse. Had o.j., peanut-ginger tofu scram w/broccoli & shrooms, and salad w/lime-cilantro dressing. Ready to work!
  4. Making the Osso Buco recipe from Molly Stevens' Braising, but using lamb instead of veal. My kitchen smells pleasantly of fennel and garlic.
  5. Has anybody else noticed that bananas seem to ripen from left to right and back to front? Or maybe I'm just crazy.
  6. Haven't been feeling well for several days. The antidote (I hope)? Adzuki miso soup w/Napa cabbage, choy, carrots, tofu & soba.
  7. Made ginger/cashew/apricot granola today, but added too much powdered ginger (it's a bit bitter). Next time I'll use candied ginger, instead

  14. 1st meal in new apartment: VT Smoke & Cure pepperoni, 2 kinds of artisan cheese, heirloom apples, maple-candied nuts, baguette.
  15. Was proud that I remembered to bring leftover pho & a saucepan to the new apartment. Then I realized I didn't have chopsticks or a spoon.
  16. Moving: Think I'm taking cleaning while I move a bit too far: Yesterday I washed the outside of a box of rice noodles before putting it away
  17. Taking a break from packing & drinking hot Shelburne Orchard's Ginger Echinacea Cider.
  18. @suttification I haven't tried Neyers' Syrah, but maybe I'll get to at the tasting on Weds. Haven't had the Luca, either. I'll get on that!
