  2. right wing libertarians are an odd bunch. obviously they're not in the least libertarian. they just think that they're enthusiasms r global
  3. apart from gordon, the spectator seems to reserve a special contempt for wind farms. these are the modern ills.
  4. @MattTempest most of the fury is directed at his 'unelected' status. and yes, they almost made me believe he might be a force for good!
  5. read a copy of the spectator on the way home. now that's a funny magazine. the utter hatred for gordon brown on the right is incredible.
  6. where everyone was lovely. met Geoffrey broadbent too who was very gracious

  13. @NemesisRepublic who mentioned cake? what kind of cake? is there any left?
  14. it's an oddly confusing thread. Scotch eggs in the scala nightclub, communist cottagers meeting in a bakery to use the wifi...
  15. @markasaurus yes, i believe it was on the request of the late Colin 'Sandy' Wilson that they held the UK pole dancing championships there.
  16. @tragedyhatherle i think the pole dancing championships are on there soon. that could be a reason too.
  17. @tragedyhatherle re cake shop. the scotch eggs are very good.
  18. @tragedyhatherle when i say designed, they stopped paying us before it got finished, the red staircase is the one bit i can claim.
  19. @tragedyhatherle it did allow us to redesign it though. in between it was a 'Primatarium' and a Jehova's Witness centre.
  20. @Archispeak this kind of thing just happens to @marcusfairs. like the butter commercial! no one offers me nothing neither.
