  11. Today's agenda: finishing a paper with colleague Doug on our Antarctic discoveries from earlier this year, and meeting with Nat Geographic
  12. Learning diplomacy in my old age: have so far avoided nuclear option to tackle ship scheduling problem for our 2nd Cayman Trough expedition.
  13. Final planning meeting yesterday for our 1st Cayman Trough expedition: will start in Trinidad on 25 March, end Jamaica 21 April
  14. Proposal rejection is nothing that sirloin and haut medoc cannot fix. "KBO", as Winston would say.
  15. Our Iceland-Azores proposal has been rejected. Having 2 reviewers with no experience of our field did not help.
