  1. But beware, this alpha version should NOT be used for any productive activity, there are too many changes at the base routines of EAC.
  2. I am now ready for letting some users test an alpha of the unicode version of EAC, anybody who is interested please send me an email.
  3. The last three days I tried to figure out a working manifest configuration for the new EAC (and its plugins), that was really wearisome!
  4. If everything will work out as expected, I will provide an alpha version with Unicode to a limited range of testers in around two weeks...
  5. The Unicode conversion works out just fine, I have today finished the conversion itself. But I still need to do some bug fixing though...
  6. I haven't visited the EAC forum for quite a long time, perhaps I will find some time at the weekend to catch up the missed messages...
  7. The bad news is that I can not reproduce the problems on my system some users have reported when using EAC with Windows 7...
  8. I installed Windows 7 as 64 bit version, it just works great! At first I wanted it just for testing, but now I am using it as main OS...
  9. Meanwhile the moving to the new town is complete, nearly all boxes are unpacked again, so hopefully I can restart again on EAC this weekend.
  10. At the moment I am trying to restore the system to two new spare drives, let's keep our fingers crossed that it will work out fine...
  11. I returned from holidays the day before yesterday and found my webserver crashed. The RAID1 was completely damaged! :-(
  12. The last two weeks I hadn't much time, because I move to a new town, this will not change for the next two weeks until the move is done.
  13. later on, I think some testers are needed sometime for a pre-alpha version. But I will look for freedb queries first (now in Unicode).
  14. It seems that extraction and AccurateRip are already working again (but tested only burst mode so far). Intensive tests have to be done ...
  15. Meanwhile EAC compiles again (Unicode and ANSI). The GUI comes up, but a lot of stuff isn't displayed right and some isn't working at all!
  16. Now I have reverted all changes and try to compile it as Unicode. I started to remove the problems due to using CHARs instead of BYTEs...
  17. At first I made a wrong decision: I tried to leave the program ANSI and only convert all strings to wide char. This didn't worked out... :(
  18. Welcome to my Twitter web log! As first post I want to say, that I started the Unicode conversion of EAC some weeks ago...
