  13. @bethggwaz Hi Beth - I always try to come up with a title that hasn't been used, or at least not in a long time. Prevents confusion.

  16. The world's bestselling novels were written by people who wanted to create a book THEY would love to read. Think about that. Write for you.

  18. Tip 5: The awful thing must turn the lead's life upside down and be bad enough so you can a whole book's worth of action out of solving it.
  19. Tip 4: Decide on your lead character, then make something awful happen to him/her. Your novel will be about your lead solving this problem.
  20. Tip 3: Start with a great story idea, or hook. It's all about the concept. For publishers, a strong hook trumps writing quality every time.
