  1. Working on my first Firefox extension. Good beginner's guide --> http://robertnyman.com/2009/01/24/how-to-develop-a-firefox-extension/
  2. Oh, WordPress -- you put out the UGLIEST source code. Why must you torture me so?
  3. OH YES!!!! Where has this FF addon been my whole life??? TabGroups Manager, EXACTLY what I've been looking for!!! http://is.gd/51iet
  4. Just received a Google Wave invite -- w00t!
  5. @twitterapi No limit messages. Here's a paste that shows some results: http://bit.ly/26bJp5 . Each burst gives tweets from the past 5-15 sec
  6. @twitterapi: is it normal for the filter stream to come in 15-second bursts? The sample stream is nicely consistent, but filter feels chunky
  7. Playing with the streaming twitter api -- it's so cool XD
  8. Woo! RT @twitterapi: We've added a "Report as spam" button to twitter.com ( http://bit.ly/aZ6OM ). We'll be providing an API soon.
  9. My latest li'l project is to build a client (in python) that can handle twitter and facebook at least. First step is to build a twitter lib.
  10. Sheesh, all sorts of people having twitter api issues - I'm getting the occasional "BadStatusLine" in gwibber. Hasn't stopped my dev, though
  11. Working on a twitter API. Authentication is required for protected users. As such, I will be going temporarily protected, please bear with!
  12. At a foreign computer wanting to ssh to my #ubuntu server, but don't have my key on me. Time to see how well it can stand up to hacking. :D
  13. @chriscoyier: I note plim doesn't work at all on frames; I use 911tabs.com regularly, they open ext sites in frames. Otherwise, looks great!
  14. Took time to look at #sqlite, first glance I like it. Good: dbs wherever you choose to create them. Bad: db files all over (bad for backup).
  15. Just watched C.Pirillo rave about Chrome Frame, thinking "Chris, this doesn't change a thing" - http://youtube.com/watch?v=RVE3r4gCa5Y
  16. @mahmoudimus I'd say that's the way to learn most languages! Tho a bot is more complex than a scraper - txt processing, db access, sockets!.
  17. Is it wrong that my method for learning #Python is building an IRC bot with it? Anyway, 'tis an interesting lingo, I keep trying to type {}!
  18. MS so desperate for IE8 users, they'll pay you $10K to use it! http://is.gd/152pP BTW, FF can easily view the pg w/out insults w/a UA change
  19. RT @sarahintampa: All Hell May Break Loose On Twitter In 2 Hours http://tcrn.ch/3kZ -- well, that was about 4hrs ago, but still :)
  20. #baddesign at @twitr_directory : 1) they require your creds then, tweet for you w/o telling, 2) once they val, you can't chng accts.
