@: I note plim doesn't work at all on frames; I use 911tabs.com regularly, they open ext sites in frames. Otherwise, looks great!

Took time to look at , first glance I like it. Good: dbs wherever you choose to create them. Bad: db files all over (bad for backup).

@ I'd say that's the way to learn most languages! Tho a bot is more complex than a scraper - txt processing, db access, sockets!.
