  1. @solace Yeah, his sound isn't really a festival sound at all-it was lost in the day at Pfork. This is the real way to hear Owen's music.
  2. @solace No question. After his Pfork set couldn't wait to see him in an intimate show. Sound was perfect and truly enchanting-Just loved it.
  3. @Staciaann Couldn't agree more. A beautiful set. He's really funny too-think he could make it as comedian-if music thing doesn't work out :)
  4. Heading to @TheCedar with @nelsonm to catch the wonderful sounds of @owenpallett and The Mountain Goats. Should be an incredible show.
  5. @owenpallett Hope you're enjoying the wonderful day here in Mpls. Excited to see you and the Mountain Goats this evening @TheCedar Cheers!
  6. @nelsonm I've got a +1 for the MG show tonight. Interested?
  7. Celebrating the birthday of Albert Camus, born in 1913 in Mondovi, Algeria. "An intellectual is someone whose mind watches itself."
  8. @mismoneypenny I am waiting to watch it, just "researching" film before we watch it.That & having many Grain Belts + listening to Beatles.
  9. @brokenhalo You are my Twitter film authority, especially since no one else responded-Blood Rayne is a strike against you though, won't lie.
  10. @brokenhalo So, like, everyone knows this info? I knew Waits was in other Coppola films, but not the Outsiders. I've been shamed.
  11. How has it taken me this long to find out Tom Waits is in the Outsiders? Playing a character named Buck Merrill. My Indie card=revoked.
  12. @elguante Good for you, man. Everything I've heard from the record has been hot so far, and you know I'll be there on the 12th. Cheers!
  13. No matter how many times I've seen it(which is a lot, mind) The Outsiders never fails to draw me in-1 of best film adaptations from a book
  14. Late lunch/early dinner at Salut. Acquired pretty healthy wine buzz for only quarter of five. Gorgeous day-more in store for the weekend.
  15. @richthane Yeah, good stuff. Like a Cat Power/'White Chalk' era PJ Harvey hybrid. Nice and sparse when it needs to be.
  16. @richthane I really like it-very L.A. sounding record, retro and optimistic. Very different from the Strokes sound though, hardly any guitar
  17. My first review @TLOBF posted-my take on the New Moon Soundtrack. Lots of potential but ultimately a wasted opportunity http://bit.ly/41OovL
  18. @cinatyte Still really like Hammond's "Yours To Keep" but yeah, Julian's has more edge & takes far more chances than the others. So good.
  19. @cinatyte What do you think? Really like it-diff from Strokes, optimistic & sunny. Listening to Strokes lots since tweeting w/you & @solace
  20. @solace Awesome. Thanks for the info. I totally think both shows are doable now-just might have to run down Cedar to TRock after Dirty P's.
