  1. Get ready to warm up your LaserJet printer :- @atmannes says the http://soa-manifesto.org/ is almost done!
  2. The Web has been a total failure for eCommerce and "real" computing, so REST-* is a very interesting prospect: http://www.jboss.org/reststar
  3. @monkchips - I agree! A combination of Java, Windows and Oracle have brought homogeneity to the enterprise. SOA will deliver innovation!
  4. @bellhead I agree whole-heartily the IBM Impact Conf is very interesting! Social Media needs serious attention from big vendors to succeed!
  5. People still claiming SOA is dead? They're wrong! It's essential for Social Media to go mainstream: http://tinyurl.com/SOASocia...
  6. @bellhead thank you. XUP does indeed seem The Right Thing. That's the beauty of SOAP, it encourages people to build their own protocols.
  7. SOFEA (Service Oriented Front End Architecture), SOUI (Service Oriented User Interface) SOA and Flex - made for each other http://is.gd/kIhE
  8. Noticing http://www.soafacts.com is not responding. More evidence for keeping important information as documents, not on random Web sites.
  9. @a_node Amazon should stop wasting effort on REST which doesn't scale and concentrate on their enterprise quality SOAP and WSDL interfaces.
  10. Adding my vote to the AWS forum: If you want enterprise traction for S3 then focus on SOAP interfaces and deprecate REST. This is important!
  11. Busy week migrating projects from Tomcat, Postrgress and other Open Source flub to Weblogic Server and Oracle DB as a cost cutting exercise!
  12. Renaming eighteen platforms so they all start with "C". Freshens up the diagram ahead of next week's review board. Demonstrable progress!
  13. The Forrester EA Forum sounds great! Desperately need to know howto integrate SOA policy into SOA strategy http://tinyurl.com/FEAF09 #FEAF09
  14. Great webinar, realising we could build a marketplace for exchanging federated identity assertions: Confederated Identity! It's the future!
  15. Writing a business case for a Federated Identity as a Service solution, (FIaaS) a leading-edge product which leverages our trusted brand.
  16. Web Wonk, pushing toy technologies, tells us SOA is dead. Doesn't he know the Gartner Hype Curve? It's in the "Trough of Disillusionment"!
  17. Something which makes my blood boil is developers arguing about programming languages. That's the beauty of BPEL: code gen into Java or C#!
  18. @chris_mcmahon http://www.waterfall2006.com/ maybe a spoof? We leverage agility, holding regular planning, standup and acceptance meetings!
  19. On way home after a couple of halves of barleywine with the boys reminiscing about SSADM and 4GL programming languages. Those were the days!
  20. @jamestodhunter Any fool can have an idea but we need people to hunker down on the job in hand. As tell my team: deliver first, think later!
