  2. I'll spend Thxgvg week in the Bay Area-- visiting family & friends, R & R-ing, catching up on contacts, and preparing for the next push fwd!
  3. Today's mission is many miles long down San Francisco's Mission Street melting pot. Weather = sunshine, sunshine, sunshine.
  4. Now walking down Lombard Street: the 2nd "crookedest" street in the world. (Wall St is #1). What a spectacular skyview at sunset!
  5. Gallivanting across Ghirardelli Square. (My heart is in San Francisco :-)
  6. Now walking across the Golden Gate Bridge!
  7. The sun is opening up the Sausalito sky. The morning mist bids farewell with a beautiful rainbow. The Golden Gate awaits!!
  8. Just stayed at a true conservationist home: if it's yellow, leave it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down (with a bucket of waste water :-).
  9. Slow, sunny Saturday stroll into Sausalito. I'll cross the Golden Gate Bridge Sunday at noon. Feel free to join me if you're in the area :)
  10. JR, snappy sidewalk salesman, saw my signs and just attempted to sell me his favorite cologne at half price-- he called it "panty dropper."
  11. Used shampoo & conditioner for the first time since the start of the walk. Welcome back, (some) hair...
  12. New blog about getting kicked off the freeway by California Highway Patrol yesterday: www.enjoythewalk.org/blog
  13. Low-key sunny day today. I'll only be walking as far as San Rafael. A slow entrance into the Bay Area allows for some great foot rest :^)
  14. I'm not confident that Californians are enjoying the drive as much as I'm enjoying the walk. (Novato tonight.)
  15. "Anytime you feel rather low-- go out and find something you can do to help someone else-- it will pick you right up." --Peace Pilgrim, 1979
  16. On through the vineyards and cow pastures to Petaluma today. Santa Rosa was superb...
  17. Just walked by a large Santa Rosa Junior College theatre advertisement: Abraham Lincoln's Big Gay Dance Party. (??????????)
  18. In the last 30 minutes, I've been interviewed, given a sandwich, and offered a tattoo by three different parties of people.
  19. I've been interviewed, given a sandwich
  20. After sleeping well in Sebastopol, I returned to Friday's stopping point and am continuing south through Sonoma's sunshine into Santa Rosa.
