  1. @Bookmunch Seems that we have similar taste in films - I would also count Synecdoche and Let the Right One In among the best of 2009.
  2. Saw excellent thriller Frozen River yesterday. Great to see interesting female characters played by actors not on screen for their looks.
  3. Watched Preston Sturges' jolly political satire The Great McGinty last night http://tiny.cc/KSjij Manages to be both cynical and endearing.
  4. Requested a quote from Big Yellow self storage and they sent me 37 emails confirming the price. Doesn't inspire confidence...
  5. Even if I didn't have a personal interest I would still love these posters for the great lost films of Northern Ireland http://tiny.cc/C637G
  6. @dansumption Great that you and Clare met up - she's very cool. I'm having a lovely time with the babe ;-)
  7. @foodjournalist Had a gorgeous boy. No pics online, but he looks remarkably like your daughter ;-)
  8. @meganfvaughan We did discuss Hounslow West as an option (not much of a joke, even if you live in London).
  9. @meganfvaughan Yes, names we were never going to choose: Fred, Adam, Sam and Kanye...
  10. @oonagh_j It's good to be back ;-) how's MIF been going? I've been completely out of circulation.
  11. @credibleamoeba I have three much younger siblings - I know what I'm getting into ;-)
  12. @meganfvaughan @blowupchurch Thanks! A boy - Felix - named partly in honour of a friend of the family: http://tiny.cc/trMCI
  13. @wlmager I made the unsurprising discovery that labour is agony, but had excellent care and no complications. Baby is thriving!
  14. Walked along the river to Richmond yesterday and tasted William Curley's spectacular chocolates: http://www.williamcurley.co...
  15. Hello again. It's my first time back on Twitter after the birth of my first baby - a tiring and delightful month. Hope you're all well.
  16. @foodjournalist Wonderful news! Good name as well. Our boy should arrive in the next week or so.
  17. On the strength of this article and ep 1 of Mitchell & Webb, David Mitchell should give up sketch shows and just write http://tiny.cc/kc08B
  18. ...the performances were fine but everything about it felt theatrical, down to the unconvincing denoument.
  19. Went to see The Hide at the ICA yesterday afternoon, a film based on a play and boy could you tell... http://tiny.cc/XVLTh
  20. @nigelsmith99 Have you applied?
