  1. getting ready to move into new office at changi busines park. It will house 3 businesses in one- fund mgt, entertainment, and internet tv
  2. looking for new office space as AMAC Capital expands its business into private equity and tie-ups with other funds.
  3. busy working on new business ideas. Watching financial markets- the rebound is sustainable and has suprised many, as any recovery always has
  4. planning for next humanitarian trip to tongren in june..going to be a big team this time.
  5. just finished with MAS's inspection at my AMAC office..cant imagine, they have 500 over fund mgt firms to do it a few months.
  6. meeting a grp of like minded business people on a social enterprise businesa project...exciting
  7. met property professionals..seeing signs of bottoming in mkt with prices and activity improving
  8. been in tongren, guizhou past 2 days on on joint citycare/bbg trip..very poor village with basic education and water needs not met.
  9. busy visiting people in hospitals, preparing for trip to tongren to visit schools there..giving away school uniforms and assessing needs
  10. just back fm trip to batam to visit a relative. spent time in a new megamall but ntg comparable to spore
  11. obama lets GM and Chrysler go bankrupt..good bold decision! now they can get on with focusing on their strengths
  12. ...from other countries to spore, property deals etc. So it depends who you talk to, the pessmistic or the optimisitc..
  13. meeting businessmen, bankers, funds etc..seems like there is still lots of deal-making in the market..corporate takovers, movement of funds.
  14. ..bumped into an architect from DP..there is a dearth of new projects from the once-booming dubai..result of the bust in crude oil prices
  15. just saw Glenn Gooi's "The importance of being earnest." very very good! lots of talking but entertaining, an all-men cast..

  18. news is getting ostensibly more positive now, just as some (leaders included) gte overly pessimistic. Looks to me like signs of a bottom
  19. ..only 2 were focusing on their ability to overcome the challenges and not on the obstacles...we need leaders to lead with hope
  20. reflecting on MM's views on the economy...hmm, seems like leaders are getting too pessimistic. Reminds me of the 12 spies who were leaders..
