  1. Writing Tip: SCHEDULE! Make time & make sure everyone knows when not to disturb. Defend schedule.During writing time-WRITE.

  3. Writing Tip:Research.Few things bug readers more than the inaccurate/unbelievable.DON'T OVER RESEARCH or u may never start writing.
  4. Writing Tip:Short Stories-short time span/single pivotal event/not 2 many characters/make every word count-focus on a narrow subject.
  5. Writing Tip:Write w/all the senses. Describe what characters see, hear, smell, touch & taste. Makes writing vivid & exciting.
  6. Writing Tip: Narrating physical actions of a person from point A to B are Stage Directions. Unnecessary/Drop most/Get to the point.
  7. @gwenhayes Book Antigua, but I like Papyrus and then change it to something else before subbing. I don't think in Courier.
  8. Writing Tip:Character Issues? Take job application form & fill out for your characters. It helps think about them from different POV.
  9. @szephyr I like the title, but the only thing I'd say is that it's long - leaves less room for the cover art...
  10. Writing Tip: A good title is like an opening paragraph-interesting,attract the reader's attention & be appropriate.
  11. A Streetcar Named Desire is wonderful. Great performance at Kennedy Center.

  16. When asked what was happening between Philly and Dc in 1800-high school kids answered WW I and Civil War. OMG. I am ashamed.

  19. 40 American high school girls on tour of rotunda can't answer y 13 stripes on flag. Canadian girl got it. Go figure.
