  6. Fun live EcoConsumer segments planned for KOMO4 TV (4:20pm) and KOMO radio (4:45) tomorrow. Live local turkey! (no not me)
  7. A consultant interviewed me today for "major consumer products manufacturer" to get my views on what consumers want in recycling containers.
  8. My informal meeting today with regional Wal-Mart public affairs folks was great. They are working on a green jobs initiative.

  10. The national Reuse Alliance (www.reusealliance.org) now has its first state chapter, in North Carolina.
  11. @waste_not Thanks for sending link about Flings garbage/recycling bins. They have pitched me. Not sure if it's really a necessary product.

  13. Was cool to hear that Mayor Gavin Newsom was at this weekend's Green Festival in San Francisco!
  14. "America Recycles Day" has always left me cold. Earth Day has history and means something, but ARD is just a date on the calendar (Nov. 15).
  15. Have another informal meeting Monday with a couple regional WalMart folks. The company does seem truly interested in green/consumer stuff.
  16. @waste_not Sounds like steampunk started in graphic novels and anime but is now also clothing and style. Good fit for reuse though, huh?
  17. Are we addicted to plastic? Consuming? Convenience? My latest EcoConsumer Blog posting: http://bit.ly/T1cUs
  18. Another great thing about having teen daughter: Learned about "steampunk" fashion (Victorian-ish, thrift-store, old-tech).
  19. Check out King County's new Slimmer Waste Challenge! http://bit.ly/1QGYwX
  20. I highly recommend "Addicted to Plastic" (http://bit.ly/p9BjI), a film I saw Tues. at Issaquah enviro movie night. Slanted, but not unfair.
