  1. Receive a Rebate and not sure how to enter it? Go to Make a Deposit, in From Account select the Expense that you assigned the purchase to.
  2. Maria says - Non-Profits separate your chart of accounts by project and admin expenses for clearer reporting
  3. Liz Says~You can now attach scanned documents in QuickBooks 2010!! What a great way to go paperless.
  4. Belinda says~QB 2007 will no longer support emailing invoices. You may need to upgrade to 2010 if you use this feature.

  10. Belinda says~Reports are very helpful but be sure your date range is correct. And that you opt for Cash Basis or Accrual.

  12. Belinda says~ Set a “Closing Date” and password to prevent making changes in a previous tax period.To set it go to Preferences “Accounting”

  15. Belinda says~Setting up a QB file? The choices you make in the EZ Interview can be changed using Preferences or in Company Information
  16. Belinda says~Don’t neglect your "Owner Contributions" for out of pocket expenses!
  17. Maria says - Keep copies of your payroll deposit confirmation page and your liability balance reports
  18. Maria says - Make sure you print your payroll summaries for each pay period, you will need your back up information for quarterlies

  20. Set a closing date when you have closed the books for the month/year, that way no one can change your financials!
