  1. Thanks @Cizauskas, @getsconed, @gogoshire I'm sad to see it end too - I'm just so busy with other things. Not least of which is a toddler.
  2. Tried unsuccessfully last night to make a raw custard w/ fresh coconut. So I cooked it w/ soy milk & cornstarch and made coconut pudding.

  4. Christmas menu, cont. - green beans w/ shallots & walnuts and gingerbread cupcakes for dessert.
  5. Christmas menu is coming together - vegan dad's phyllo triangles but w/ puff pastry, @IsaChandra 's chickpea gravy, roasted potatoes...
  6. I'll call it a vegan holiday margarita: soy nog, key lime juice, tequila & triple sec
  7. Nothing like a sno-cone made with fresh squeezed Florida orange juice and fresh Virginia snow.
  8. I shoveled numerous walkways & our car out from under 2 feet of snow and now I just tweaked my neck cutting open a big winter squash.
  9. Just had tofu omelets filled with spinach & capers for dinner. The omelet recipe in @IsaChandra 's Vegan Brunch is awesome!
  10. Back from a work trip to DC. Got some good vegan food there - Java Green, The Vegetable Garden & vegan donuts (!) at The Fractured Prune.
  11. Holy yum Batman! Chocolate-raspberry cookies from Veganomicon.
  12. I can't believe the toddler won't eat a calzone filled with lentils but he'll eat green olives.

  14. Was gonna use those mushrooms for veggie burgers this weekend but that didn't happen so I fried them and had them w/ pasta & jarred sauce.
  15. A simple lo mein for dinner w/ whole wheat spaghetti, seitan, edamame, cabbage and carrots. And the last piece of pumpkin pie for dessert.
  16. Mmmmm.... pumpkin waffles for breakfast.
  17. Looking forward to a great vegan Thanksgiving meal: fried seitan w/ mushroom gravy, smashed taters, collards, cranberries & pumpkin pie.
  18. Got a head start on our Thanksgiving meal tonight. Butternut Squash-Bartlett Pear soup in Veg. Times from @bryantterry is awesome!
  19. We got a huge cabbage from our CSA so we made a huge batch of slaw. And what goes better with slaw than BBQ seitan.
  20. Made a big batch of Real Food Daily seitan today. It came out a little soft but that's perfect for the toddler, who loves it.
