  1. @stuartsierra def I was speaking of dynamic languages - doesn't work for static languages - that's for dang sure. :)
  2. So deep in the weeds today I haven't had time to look up - worked all weekend too :(
  3. @hlship I generally don't even want to mess with static langs anymore. Haskell may change my mind when I learn it ... but I don't think so.
  4. @hlship really? coljure is much nicer than xml for clojure. I just ditched 25 makefiles on my erlang project for 1 simple erlang script.
  5. @rplevy @debasishg maybe so. I just wish I could have the 15 years back I was doing imperative programming :)
  6. The best build tool is a tool written in the language you are compiling..... Except static imperative languages *cough* java *cough*
  7. @debasishg yes - it's all day long with clojure for me now :) #happy
  8. I wish I could have back that 15 years of my life where I programmed C, C++ & Java. I wish Lisp would have been performant enough back then.
  9. It was said long ago and still true: The best design in engineering is not being able to remove anything else. :)
  10. @built #clojure is my full time day job. I'm just goofing around with #lfe on #erlang.
  11. @elight @GeorgeJahad did some work on #android #clojure a while back and has insight.
  12. #nice @technomancy #clojure #swank #elpa
  13. @built also & more specifically there are #erlang tricks you can do that don't have an equiv. on single node #lisp vms. That's most of it.
  14. @built The appeal for me with LFE is that I prefer #lisp but the wheatie side of me (erlang) can't miss out on the erlang vm goodness :)
  15. @rvirding that last tweet was for you :) much respect. :)
  16. Robert Virding is awesome. I spent the day productively programming #lisp in #erlang :)
  17. "Oh, I'm sorry! Did I tar-bomb you with that?"
  18. @ryankanno #opschef 100% we don't use #puppet anymore. Dropped it about 9 months ago.
  19. @ryankanno @aconbere oops! that was a pointless thread :S sorry :) my mistake
  20. I wish @davefayram could release Katamari open source. I am going to have to go build my own I think. #erlang
