  1. @shanselman I could lend you my cat? Extracting meat derivatives from upholstery is one of his few skills...
  2. Blast. I had this idea a while back but never got beyond a prototype: http://j.mp/7lUuL8 Oh well. Scratch one from the todo list.
  3. RT +1 (chicken FTW!) @andrew_myhre: @ben_hall i rate nandos over gbk too
  4. @Ben_Hall Pizza Express every time. GBK do not treat their onion rings with respect, IMHO...
  5. Ah, what the hell. It doesn't matter because, just like Leeeeroy, I got chicken!
  6. Some days, London feels like it's just eight million tired people watching as the rain washes all the hope out of the air. #longdarkteatime
  7. I just generated my #TweetCloud out of a month of my tweets. Top three words: changed, my, password.
  8. I just generated my #TweetCloud out of a year of my tweets. Top three words: time, people, windows - http://w33.us/jkm
  9. @RickStrahl Good point... Maybe a dead one would have the same comedy effect with less risk... :)
  10. I would love it if, just once, the "unexpected item in the bagging area" turned out to be a live walrus.
  11. I really like the look of the .less CSS project - but why use @ to prefix variables? CSS already uses @ for media selectors. Why not $ ?
  12. @jagregory ah, not really. Learned a lot. Just wish I could wash away the bitter taste of SQL string manipulation with a nice cold brew. :)
  13. I ended up writing a CIDR bitmask calculator in T-SQL tonight. I wish I'd got drunk instead. Now it is late and there is No Beer. :(
  14. FAIL of the YEAR: "SQL Server 2005 does not support TRY CATCH blocks inside functions." Awesome. Just frikkin' lovely... <cry>
  15. I heard a story once about a guy who could write SQL pivot queries without looking up the syntax. Didn't believe a word of it.
  16. I love the Word heading dance. Ctrl-1-2-3-4 gives you Big Heading, Middle Heading, Small Heading... EURO! Hilarious.
  17. @Plip buy a Teasmaid - and then hack in a wi-fi connection and microcontroller, so it tweets "Gorrabrewon!" when you switch it on. :)
  18. Anyone recommend a good WPF book for someone (me!) who knows WinForms and C# but is a complete newbie at WPF/silverlight?
  19. @tehlike @adymitruk @mattmagpayo Never mind Resharper... NHibernate without NHProf is like Visual Studio with no /debugger/.
  20. http://digs.by/rih - Slashdot story and comments about Apple releasing the first iPod. Fascinating...
