DxOMark

  1. @kevinli0703 Yes I checked the measures, and I really don't see where you see such a difference between the Mk2 and Mk3.
  2. @todd_klassy So, we offer results for the different bodies, to enable any visitor to know how a lens will perform on his own camera.
  3. @todd_klassy The performance of a lens does depend on the specifications of the body it is mounted on (in particular its resolution).
  4. @todd_klassy Quick reminder, the DxOMark lens Score is an open scale. And, the lens scores depend on both the lens AND the camera.
  5. @todd_klassy Of course, there is some sort of variety, but not that much especially for the Canon L series :)
  6. @kevinli0703 For more details about the scores, here are some detailed explanations: ow.ly/awZzE Thanks for your interest.
  7. @kevinli0703 Be careful that most of the scales aren't linear. So, even if the distance looks similar, the figures can be quite different.
  8. @todd_klassy From experience, the variability isn't a real issue, except for some exception, like this one. Hence the test a new sample.
  9. @kevinli0703 I don't really see what measures your referring to: all 3 intermediate scores (CD, DR, ISO) are much lower for the Mk1.
  10. @inframe_photo Image Quality has always been one of the elements constitutive of a camera. We still think that it's one of the major ones :)
  11. @todd_klassy You're not the 1st to report this abt the 70-200 L. After double checks, looks like we tested a bad unit. It will be retested
  12. @inframe_photo We always do a fair amount of QA on our results. But knowing how sensitive the 5D3 would be, we double and triple checked
  13. This sounds like an interesting read. Seriously. RT @fcwestfall: @Cbrutel DXOMark are fucking morons!! Wait for my next blog update.
  14. It was a great pleasure to open our labs to @stshank from @CNET during the #5dm3 tests : ow.ly/anVRt
  15. The Canon 5D Mark III measures are finally available. So, without further ado, here are the results: ow.ly/anV2y
  16. @jacofotos As soon as we have them. Promised ;)
  17. @stevenbryson Can't confirm any precise date, but it should not be long to come anymore.
