  1. Andy Samberg exits Saturday Night Live - tinyurl.com/c46lzf2 // At least assure us this isn't the end of Lonely Island!
  2. Listening to @radio_RG while working on my dissertation. I prefer the radio commentary to TV any day. #rolandgarros
  3. @Jordan_pBarrett @jrgordon13 Thanks, Jordan! That would be really helpful.
  4. @bultmanniac It appears especially in Theology of NT & John commentary, but also in History & Eschatology and the demythologizing essays.
  5. @jrgordon13 Dude, thanks. June 22. Afternoon-ish. We’ll pay in food/drinks — cash too if that helps.
  6. @bultmanniac Oh, RB is all about existential interpretation. But he thinks this is grounded in the kerygma itself. Not in philosophy.
  7. @jrgordon13 No, I haven't written anything official, but I've talked to people about it.
  8. @jrgordon13 Ah, of course. I edited that volume. I forgot the title. :)
  9. @jrgordon13 Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that. Or if you know some other guys. Would be a huge help.
  10. @jrgordon13 That wasn't me. I don't know that piece, but it sounds like I should.
  11. @jrgordon13 We're moving in a month. Should be all settled by the last week of June.
  12. @jrgordon13 There's also the problem of using properties as such. Can you reduce a narrative to properties? Can you narrate properties?
  13. @jrgordon13 Yes, it certainly does. But anything less would be a disaster IMO.
  14. @jrgordon13 But we're talking about God, so we have a split between essential & contingent. History (i.e. Jesus) is thus not essential.
  15. @jrgordon13 That’s just my post-Barthian take, of course. The issue between analytics & continentals comes down to the role of history.
  16. @jrgordon13 Properties are timeless & ahistorical. But the God of JC is a historical being who cannot be described in the abstract.
  17. @bultmanniac Everyone overestimates Heidegger’s influence. Read Roger Johnson’s superb “Origins of Demythologizing.”
  18. @bultmanniac My criticism is that you are wrong to say that RB bases his exegesis on existential[ist] philosophy. That’s just not true.
