  1. WRT Verizon vs Apple and AT&T, remember Apple had ads with Pentiums on snails not long before switching to Intel. Just marketing dialectic.
  2. Looking at @sophiestication's Groceries iPhone app seems to have gotten my wife to overcome her touch screen aversion.
  3. Why are space exploration movies creepy? Directors afraid of space? Where's a movie representing&expressing my desire to be on a spaceship?
  4. @songcarver my guess is the carbon codebase of iTunes makes it hard for them to move things that stall on the USB bus or network in a thread
  5. Whoa, who can you trust other than amazon anymore? Look at the list of scammers! http://j.mp/yTEk7
  6. Looping over Charlie Haden & Pat Metheny's instrumental version of Spiritual. Very soothing and relaxing. http://bit.ly/8fK2Y0 (iTunes)
  7. Stick to iPhone SDK public APIs, sure. It's not like they don't change though. Changed order of callbacks can break your code, happened here
  8. @schwa you lose an f-stop (more or less), fine for subjects that don't move, perhaps with a tripod. Moving subj or handheld needs higher iso
  9. Beautiful sunny day at the beach with the girls. http://yfrog.com/3722105058j
  10. So Apple builds Webkit and Chrome OS gets all the credit? Oh wait, 7 seconds! #blah
  11. So what about Android? #chromeos
  12. @flo_muc ouch sucks :( #alitalia #sucks
  13. @intui symbolication works if you keep original builds in spotlight searchable place, rebuilding source not same thing: build UUID changes
  14. @flo_muc must say your shots with tiltshiftgen are pretty cool, keep them coming :)
  15. It strikes me that net neutrality issues would be at least mitigated by putting a cap on ISP/carrier bandwidth overselling
  16. Looks like Microsoft stores are clones of Apple stores, mostly. Where they "innovate", it shows http://bit.ly/3tOuU5 (via @marcopifferi)
  17. Apple could do worse than snatching up @sonos
  18. After deciding that a full frame sensor needs glass I don't want to lug, the dpreview Canon 7D and Nikon D300S reviews leave me non plussed.
  19. Great article by @drewmccormack: 10 Uses for Blocks in C/Objective-C http://bit.ly/2fdNvA (via @glebd)
  20. What puzzles me about Go: the runtime feels way too rich for a systems programming language. Then again malloc wasn't a given in the 60s.
