  1. @bfelliott Honestly that was the first time I'd been to the website so it's nothing I'll miss, esp. with owning two of the four on DVD.
  2. @bfelliott "Episode not available in your country" all over the place for Canada now, too.
  3. @tanner2272 Could be a function of the exchange rate and when prices were set, could be just plain higher prices.
  4. @tanner2272 (And of course O2 has blocked non-UK access to the online shop so I can't even look at unsubsidized prices there.)
  5. @tanner2272 Or 17.5% VAT if you wanna get picky for those looking once the rate goes back up. :)
  6. @tanner2272 Take out the 15% VAT to get a closer comparison.
  7. @tanner2272 That's pre-tax whilst the O2 price includes VAT. Tax here is 5% nationally and then whatever else provincially.
  8. @tanner2272 Here we go, $680/$780 + tax in Canada: http://tr.im/ELU5 (and $730 for the 16GB 3G)
  9. @tanner2272 Loads of carriers offer unsubsidized iPhones; in Canada they're something like $699/$799 for the 16/32GB 3GS.
  10. @capricorn_one A nominal unlock charge isn't a bad thing on a cheap phone. On a £300-400 phone, it's a bit insulting.
  11. @tanner2272 I'd suggest escalating it as soon as you ring up, I can't see a Tier 1 rep having the power to say yes.
  12. @tanner2272 At least you're prepared to have them tell you no, which is unfortunately the likely outcome.
  13. @tanner2272 I also see the PAYG unlock requires a £14.69 payment over and above waiting a year. Maybe amend your offer to £84.69.
  14. @erykah_ I think you're beyond being allowed to mention any positive reminiscing about the DLR.
  15. @tanner2272 Okey dokey, no O2 network access required: http://tr.im/ELBj and http://tr.im/ELBn seem to confirm that. Whew.
  16. @tanner2272 As long as there's no requirement I have access to the O2 network I'll be fine. I've emailed O2 to ask but no reply has yet come
  17. @tanner2272 It *should* just be entering a code based on the IMEI but it's not; I know iTunes is somehow involved in the unlock.
  18. @tanner2272 Danke. Yeah, I'm not sure if the unlock will require access to the O2 network or not. It *oughtn't* of course.
  19. @tanner2272 If you remember, please keep me updated on what they say for ya. I'm very worried I'll not be able to unlock mine from here.
  20. @thirtysix I saw a full-length recording of this morning's show someplace but didn't get it as that page is far more focused (no ads, etc.)
