  1. Just published Blogs I Read: Living La Vida Local ( http://bit.ly/7rnYOj ) #thenoisychannel
  2. @SethGrimes No worries. And I do go by Daniel--I suppose the shorter Dan is more Twitter-friendly, but in that case I'd go by dt.
  3. @SethGrimes I did comment--check out http://bit.ly/4hlTxC on my blog and my comment at http://bit.ly/8cvNaQ
  4. @ramblingman For the record, I was never Endeca's CTO. I'm flattered by the attention, but people are reading way too much into this. :-)
  5. @BeyondSearch @bret_clement Re my leaving Endeca for Google: I posted http://bit.ly/4hlTxC on my blog and commented at http://bit.ly/8cvNaQ
  6. @mrgunn My personal preference is for exploratory features that don't take a black-box approach to similarity or relatedness.
  7. @mrgunn I'm not a PubMed user, but Jimmy Lin say that its users like the related articles feature. Via Marti Hearst: http://bit.ly/7LXjvn
  8. @mrgunn Can you elaborate? Rich search interfaces can offer uncertain or less directed users guidance to support exploration and discovery.
  9. @justyn Thanks! Am having a blast--and it's just the first month!
  10. Just published Search User Interfaces and Data Quality ( http://bit.ly/6dGRbN ) #thenoisychannel
  11. @stuartayeates Yeah, it's ironic that faceted search unlocks both the power and poverty of your data. I'm planning to blog about it soon...
  12. @valeskaUX Thanks! So much great stuff going on at Google & many people are into HCIR. I shoulda believed @bobwyman :-) http://bit.ly/4qPOFS
  13. @Nils_R Gotcha. There is material in the book that reflects Endeca learnings, but I could only credit published sources. Anyway, good luck!
  14. @Nils_R Sorry you didn't like it. Not sure what you are looking for, but you might check out Marti Hearst's book on Search User Interfaces.
  15. Gangs in NYC using Twitter--I know it's no joke, but all I can keep thinking of is "Twangs of New York" http://bit.ly/6OYkRE
  16. Just published Fun with Google, Bing, and Yahoo ( http://bit.ly/4ua6a8 ) #thenoisychannel
  17. @iadh Contract not required, but as usual the carrier (T-Mobile) subsidizes the phone in exchange for a 2-year contract. http://bit.ly/BsPKy
  18. @jelsas Yup, I'm on a MyTouch. And still learning how to type on a virtual keyboard. :-)
  19. @communicating Drinking the kool aid as I tweet. No, that's mango rum and pineapple. Drink of champion karaoke junkies. :-)
  20. First tweet from my keyboardless Android phone. Still adjusting but loving the experience overall.
