  1. @bobbypodesta see, now you have a free afternoon in your schedule thanks to me :-)
  2. @pulphope system redundancy and depth perception (same for ears, I'd think - spatialization)
  3. why does boxofficemojo not update foreign box office numbers? The Up numbers are from months ago...
  4. @kevhamm If you live in anything daily, it becomes scrutable. FCP is hard if you dive in every month or two - too many ways to do things...
  5. @leeunkrich Typically my wife shoots 10-20 hours of video footage. Ingest is a huge deal. DV/HDV is never more than 1X speed <sigh>
  6. are you a cartoonist? The Cartoon Art Museum would like to feature your characters looking at their art. Email drwave@mac.com 4 details
  7. @leeunkrich AVCHD on SD cards is what I prefer for ethnographic design research. Ingest w/ElGlato H.264D on an 8-core, lovely 120+fps ingest
  8. @kevhamm what book is that?
  9. Oh iMovie - I hate you so. If FCP were not so inscrutable, I would have left you long ago. The bar is complex, but still low. <sigh>
  10. Can I just say - anyone who decides (rather than having it foisted upon them) to shoot DV or HDV tape - you're incompetent. Lose your job.
  11. Hardest part of putting a big charity/fund-raiser thing together? Remembering everyone you need to thank... NOT KIDDING...
  12. to be clear: I helped program the event at the Schulz Museum (2 of 3 speakers - Pete Docter & Glen David Gold), and was sad to not attend.
  13. And thanks to Jeannie Schulz for buying a row at today's CAM event even though she had an event happening at her museum today! Yay Jeannie!
  14. @katerw Thx! Glad to hear you're not still annoyed at me :-)
  15. @PixarTalk glad to hear it. Thanks for making the trip - always glad to hear that it was worth it for folks.
  16. I work for the classiest organization on the planet. But you knew that...
  17. @andrewabernathy wife's few year old LaCie drive just stopped working on the USB interface (still fine on FW800). She's got an Air - oops.
  18. @andrewabernathy heard bad things about 1st gen, nothing bad about FW800 gen. My experience (other than rebuild performance) has been good
  19. @luiss Thanks for your support!
  20. @andrewabernathy Drobo, G-Drive and WiebeTech are the only external drives that have been trouble-free. All case makers. Hmm...
