  1. Hello Austin. Miss me? Yea, I didn't think so...
  2. re: Kindle, first comment is always echoing Alan Kay on Macintosh: "It's the first personal computer worth insulting". s/PC/readingDevice/
  3. @kebernet I read ~3-5 books/week, plus Economist, plus WSJ/NYT every day. Some Kindle, some computer, some paper. LikeKindleEnoughToHateIt
  4. @kebernet The contrast ratio (which is way more important for reading) of the Kindle text/background vs. printed page is crap.
  5. @kebernet See, I really hate comments like this. I read more than any other human I know. Seriously. I reject this argument, entirely.
  6. @doctorwave - especially since I have all these waves to delete meant for you, not me :-(
  7. @doctorwave when I have something selected & I delete it, select *something* else-before/after/don't care. Hate having to click to delete.
  8. @kebernet If someone would make a good diffuse lighting case for the Kindle, I'd shut up. But they all suck. I know, I've bought them all.
  9. @kebernet I am constantly trying to read in low light. I much prefer reading on my iPhone than my Kindle.
  10. @kebernet I've been "wave" for 25 years; I've been a dr for 14.
  11. @kebernet I hate how long it takes to move around. I hate page navigation. I hate low-light performance. I hate page refresh. argh...
  12. So I *finally* have a work reason to log into Google Wave, and find that I have 46 other waves I'm in 4 "are you dr wave?" - f%$k u google.
  13. The more I use my Kindle, the more I see their lunch is sitting on the playground, waiting to be eaten...
  14. @shanev I don't disagree (sounds right to me), but I was looking for a more "scientific/technical" answer...
  15. @PICNICfestival complicated answer for you. I don't know that the Kindle DX is international yet, but that's the screen to buy. bigIsBetter
  16. Looking at some CrossFit Journals in PDF on my Kindle, I'm very pleased with the PDF support (and rotation). Bummed they don't have zooming
  17. Thanks @stevenf & @fraserspeirs - just updated my Kindle, and am testing it out w/some PDF files. I do love the USB connectivity partOKindle
  18. Oh Adobe - I hate you and your Adobe Acrobat Reader so much....
  19. @fraserspeirs never mind - I found it!
  20. @fraserspeirs got a link? I've been googling around for this for the last 10 minutes, with no luck...
