  1. @bhelyer Nothing's wrong with it as such, it just seems a bit silly that I don't use Excel for this.
  2. I really hope the MoH: Warfighter single player is as good as that in MoH 2010. That game was underrated, its SP campaign was great.
  3. Example scenario: I have a stack of numbers and I want to see what percent of whole they are. I select them to auto-sum, do division in calc
  4. Excel needs to add a scratch space for basic arithmetic: something not part of the worksheet, and independent of current selection etc.
  5. The #1 app I have open when using Excel? calc.exe.
  6. @aurich pro-tip: you are the controller. Get with the programme.
  7. ~@ASUS The relevant question is, have you stopped using boothbabes?
  8. I'm disappointed with Facebook's folly. I was hoping for a C++ version of Cliff Click's non-blocking hashmap, but it isn't.
  9. @robmcauslan In spite of being optional, it's still seen as a box-ticking exercise, I think.
  10. @robmcauslan I wouldn't count on that. I understand the theory, but we've seen moronic Kinect stuff already....
  11. But beyond that, doesn't this just shit all over the Wii U?
  12. So the only downside to SmartGlass relative to Wii U is that Wii U will be able to _depend_ on the tablet; SmartGlass games won't.
  13. @CurtisRoller I have slightly reworded the poll options.
  14. @XaiaX Option 1 I guess. i.e. it simply doesn't enter into your "which to buy" calculus.
  15. Dear gamers, I'd love for you to answer my poll: arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopi…
  16. @davux @gcaughey @keyboardP Siri stops being cute and starts being annoying as soon as you hit the limits of its programming.
  17. So SmartGlass is kind of the consumer-facing name for "three screens and a cloud"?
  18. @cgbeige Video is far easier to multithread for a lot of these filters.
  19. @cgbeige Not just legacy code, though; serial dependencies are quite real.
