  1. @MikeCr more or less regardless of the IT problem, I always start with "is it plugged in?".
  2. I (humourously) would like a tool that converts from the HTML output of javadoc to a class file. I don't suppose there is one?
  3. @jessenoller I'd love to do that. But to me Python is more about that fact that you can't make it look like mad line noise. very easily.
  4. @rboulton at 50 ms per test, I don't relish the prospect of writing that many tests. ;)
  5. @garethQrees Could the image be a composite? the buttress on the skyline _might_ be square buttress / suzanne at Stanage.
  6. @rboulton I am not able to make a cup of tea in 9.0 seconds. ;)
  7. omg, @peakdistrict is totally web 2.0 compliant (they're on twitter!).
  8. Should the release procedure start with "make a cup of tea", to reduce errors, or should it end with "make a cup of tea", as a reward?
  9. Oh man. Adding a comment made my test fail. "It's just a comment, it can't change anything".
  10. @paul_hankin I don't think I have any concerns now. :)
  11. Clear Climate Code now has a blog: http://clearclimatecode.org/ . Save the world by converting Fortran to Python.
  12. @ScraperWiki your online editor: should not ever never insert a TAB. (I have no idea if it does, but you asked for dos and don'ts).
  13. I have never used mercurial (I use perforce). Is it insane to start a new google code project with a mercurial repository?
  14. @sret a cyslist wearing a headphones will cause far fewer deaths per mile than a driver wearing headphones.
  15. @jessenoller arghh, i absolutely _hate_ trying to match JavaScript code up to the line numbers reported by browsers. drives me nuts!
  16. @jessenoller Use Python 2.6? «json.dumps([range(3) for _ in range(2)])» -> '[[0, 1, 2], [0, 1, 2]]' . #worksforme
  17. Confused (SNP) Single Nucleotide Polymorph with Scottish National Party in my feed reader. Should separate mole bio and gay dr who blogs.
  18. Java sucks. ant sucks. But at least my ancient project, never been touched for 3 years, still compiles.
  19. Today: Max 3, Min 2. Hello winter.
  20. Found a thing in my box of collected seeds. Unclear even which kingdom it's from. Could be a seed that looks like a beetle, or vice versa.
