@ @ The dual-U system is in many states: Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Washington, Minnesota--off the top of my head.

@ That distinction doesn't hold anymore in many (most?) states, but it affects things like budget allocations, teaching loads, etc.

@ "U of X" & "X State" systems are different. Originally, the latter were often "teaching schools," & the former primarily research.

I agree about bullets, @. And yet my students know that I prohibit bullet points in PPT presentations. Why use them in writing?
