@ Unity *can* work with many 3D packages, but in practice it doesn't. Lot's of little incompatabilities. But overall Unity is killer!

@ in ear headphones are also quite problematic. "Open air" headphones are probably the best type for use during mixing.

@ Even with great monitors and a great room, referencing is huge. I used to spend hours listening to music in the control room.

@ But a completely deadened room doesn't work either. The best is controlled reflections and speakers tuned to the room.
