  1. Shocked by how few stores at JFK airport are acknowledging the holiday season. Seems a little overly politically correct if you ask me.
  2. Could it be that the more consumer ssave at a big box the more they'll spend in an independent store? I think they might.
  3. On my way to Palm Beach for a week of hanging with dad and working on 2010 initiatives with my biz partner Brian Sullivan.
  4. So far every specialty retail client of ours is up double digit for the weekend. with the average almost 30%. Woo hoo!
  5. At the Burlington mall and the lines are surprisingly short. Guess people got their fill earlier in the weekend. #retail
  6. Hit both a mall and local stores today. Both were busy and traffic is building. My kids added to the weekend totals.
  7. One day or weekend doesn't make or break a retailer's holiday. Keep the focus on the customer in the store.

  9. Was at Walmart where they clearly handled the #BlackFriday crowds well. Some specials still in stock at 7:30 am.
