  5. It's funny how I haven't thought about Identicons lately although I run into them daily.
  6. @chrisdary for use cases like HalfMask, I think hashing the full password then rendering the result as multiple identicons will work better
  7. @chrisdary I now see what you have in mind. Using identicons to represent masked password chars (your HalfMask) could be interesting. :-)
  8. @chrisdary re small range of IP addresses, good hash function should scatter the IP range reasonably evenly across the range of identicons

  15. poking in my firefox browser's places.sqlite db. I've got 2000+ bookmarks but < 100 sites with visit_count > 20. hmm
  16. IE compatibility is also the reason why I suggested to Microsoft to do what Google just announced. MS can do it easily, not Google.
  17. the reason why I am pessimistic re ChromeOS is that not all websites will work with it. Think countries like South Korea where IE rules.
  18. @michaelmyang good post. you are more optimistic than me re ChromeOS. http://twitter.com/donpark/...

  20. @KimcheeGI me2day should ride the tiger instead of fighting it, adding two-way integration with Twitter, turning me2day into Twitter client
