  1. @ingenthr not very out of town -- just over the mountains to Santa Cruz. Far enough away for my xmpp server to act up.
  2. Finally wrote something up about project skyscraper: http://dustin.github.com/20...
  3. @mrzenix I've been using libstrophe quite a bit. It's very nice.
  4. Weird. XMPP server seems to have died while I was out of town.
  5. I'm trying to download Firefox using IE. IE outright refuses to allow me to do it.
  6. I don't like commenting code. Code should be easy to read on its own. If I'm writing a comment, it's because I couldn't write better code.
  7. Google reader, blogger, friendfeed and others support pubsubhubbub. Excellent.
  8. Waiting for bloodwork. Sounds like they're taking apart a baby in the lab.
  9. What a dreadful bug in a library I was using. Can't call vsnprintf on the same va_list two times in a row...
  10. Everybody say hello to memcached 1.4.0.
  11. @tomlowshang Sorry, twitterspy hit some weird kind of hang condition. Just noticed it. It's all better now.
  12. @chriseppstein Heh. It doesn't matter what's different. *that's* what breaks.
  13. Just knowing we're in the same genus makes me embarrassed to call myself homo.
  14. Google voice is pretty cool.
  15. @xXAlphaCueXx Hard to say. There are a lot of Linux distributions and they do tend to drop projects randomly. Might be good, though.
  16. @verbiee SMS APIs are expensive. If this growl backend is done correctly, if can give you the same benefits as the growl frontend.
  17. @verbiee You can send growl alerts to your phone without growl. :)
  18. Growl for iPhone: Probably the best thing yet: http://bit.ly/173gRF
  19. @ericpallen I think very highly of buildbot and do a lot of work with it. The web interface is its weakest point, but not *too* bad.
  20. @progrium It's easy to fix, you just stop doing anything constructive.
