  1. Join the DjangoCon linkedin group: http://bit.ly/uc4hJ
  2. Nice to see people getting talks in within the first few days (even the first hour) of call for proposals going up.
  3. @clearwind I'm curious as to what the early bird timing has to do with you submitting a talk.
  4. New post about the hotel rates for DjangoCon: http://bit.ly/Atw3W
  5. The final keynote to be announced for DjangoCon '09: Avi Bryant (@avibryant - http://www.avibryant.com/)
  6. Second keynote to be announced: Ted Leung (@twleung - http://www.sauria.com/blog)
  7. First keynote I thought I'd announce for DjangoCon '09: Ian Bicking (@ianbicking - http://blog.ianbicking.org/ ).
  8. @dougireton ...and yes, the last 2 days are sprinting only (and eating pizza/drinking beer)
  9. @dougireton It's always worth staying around for sprints as there is always something you can contribute to.
  10. @andrewgodwin I know. Been pointed out. Fixed it a while ago. Waiting it to pull in the feed items again. Cheers.
  11. @samuelclay Yep, that's why I'm happy with Portland - easy reach of San Fran and other hubs + $99 per night conf hotel rate.
  12. @samuelclay I can't imagine getting somewhere in New York within budget, but feel free to submit a location proposal.
  13. Quick note for those confused. If you are paying for YOURSELF and your company isn't paying for you - register at the hobbyist rate.
  14. @clearwind yep, taking a leaf out of PyCon's books. If you really can't afford to come there will be financial aid for speakers as well.
  15. Please just use #djangocon as a hashtag for DjangoCon '09 (and any in the future). Much easier.
  16. Please ensure you read the info at the talk information page before doing so: http://www.djangocon.org/co...
  17. You can now submit your talks for DjangoCon: http://www.djangocon.org/co...
  18. Hacking on the site. Call for proposals should be up soon.
  19. @clearwind: Yeah, we'll have longer next time. It's been a weird year. Though, from the sign ups atm it looks like it should be ok.
  20. New post about what we're looking for this year from talk proposals: http://bit.ly/V0HYZ
