  1. @peterc GoInside would be a cute name. :)
  2. Cool, my Twitter filter tutorial blog post (http://bit.ly/32drsk) was mentioned on the Ruby5 podcast today. http://bit.ly/2B6CSz
  3. @dastels Awesome, just bought it and will recommend it. But I have mixed feelings, as we do need good public school teachers. :)
  4. Can't believe it's already been 20 years since the Berlin wall came down.
  5. @dastels Sweet! I had a Merlin Electronic Wizard when I was a kid. May have been my favorite handheld electronics game back then.
  6. @peterc I'll have to check it out, I like many BBC shows. Was worried about the US remake of The Office, but thankfully it turned out good.
  7. @ruby_news @peterc Thanks for the plug on http://ad.vu/nc7y :)
  8. Using UITableView for layout (e.g. prefs) admittedly looks very nice. But man, this leads to some ugly code. Not difficult, just convoluted.
  9. @nevyn It's not just you... http://bit.ly/1gCOcH
  10. @danbenjamin Sweet, I've been waiting for the jQuery PeepCode screencast for a while!
  11. @anibalrojas Definitely. And if you outgrow RAM, it should be easy to distribute Redis over multiple machines, if that works for your data.
  12. @anibalrojas Nice, thanks! I realize I'm only scratching the surface of what Redis can do, but looking forward to playing more with it. :)
  13. Finally finished the blog post about implementing a Sinatra+Redis Twitter filter that I've been working on for a while. http://bit.ly/32drsk
  14. Working on my 2nd blog post in 2 days, this time about actual coding. It's been way too long, but I'm trying to get back into the habit.
  15. @JivaDeVoe I pretty much gave up on local bookmarks a long time ago. Everything I care about is on delicious.com.
  16. Anybody else tend to be disappointed when you come across a nice open source project and it turns out it's on Google Code instead of Github?
  17. I hate sports. Traffic in Palo Alto is a mess because of some stupid game...
  18. @furrysoft Hehe, a 12-inch cd would be cool. :) No, it's this collection: http://bit.ly/1GJfrf
  19. Listening to Soft Cell. Feels like it's been forever... Their 12-Inch single versions are really awesome.
  20. Finally have a solid dual band WiFi setup: 801.11n 5Ghz + 801.11b/g 2.4Ghz, with separate Airport Extreme in the office to extend it to NAS.
