Google says 3,000 new businesses a day are signing up for its apps. And it's accelerating exponentially: http://bit.ly/google_apps_g...

McKendrick has an interesting SOA tie-in with Google Chrome: http://bit.ly/chrome_soa
Sony's DR-BT22 Bluetooth headset pack has changed my life. Seamless iPhone integration for stereo/calls. Review: http://bit.ly/sony_dr_bt22
Retweet @DT Video of Wachovia case study now available - essential viewing if you missed it http://is.gd/2gbK #o208
Watching with fascinating the stream of great tweets coming out of Office 2.0 about the Wachovia project: http://bit.ly/wachovia
@leebryant re: chief community officer being a dumb idea. Not so, communities need leadership, support, and to be a first class citizen.
Has anyone checked out https://launchpad.net/drizzle from MySql's Brian Akers?
@dsifry I now have an external battery pack for my iPhone. Too bad these terrific but tiny products aren't designed to hold enough juice.
@charleneli Most firms don't need one yet (sadly), but some do and certainly CCO will become more commonplace in the next few years IMHO.
My take on the ten leading platforms for creating online communities: http://tinyurl.com/67p4b9
The next month just got even busier: Roanoake, Orlando, New York City, Chicago, Cincinnati, Stockholm, and Monaco. All for 2.0 events/work.
http://howsociable.com is a fairly interesting new app that lets you measure the social media reach of your brand, company, etc.
We're in downtown Chicago in 2 weeks for Web 2.0 University for those wanting a serious leg-up on the topic: http://bit.ly/chicago_web_2_u
Another social location service http://goloco.org is out. Has Facebook integration and, in a unique twist, expense management.
Seeing http://www.oembed.com/ getting some uptake as an API to automatically get embed code from popular sites like YouTube/Flickr, etc.
Google's Chrome move makes perfect sense given that they take "Web as platform" seriously. Servers? Check. Browser? Check. Users? Check.
Another IM app for iPhone: http://bit.ly/im_plus But the real issue is the stateless nature of iPhone apps is in opposition to the IM model.
Another example of large companies doing community interaction with Twitter: @charleneli is tweeting with @comcastcares. And liking it.
Getting many tweets on best up-and-coming community platform. Leader with 4 tweets is Pinax: http://pinaxproject.com/
Everyone, please send me @ replies with your fave up-and-comer choices for community platforms. Want outliers, not Drupal, Joomla, etc! :-)
