  1. Finished first cut of final draft for class. Now onto all the reading we have to do.
  2. @ericasimov I have to admit that, as a systems programmer, I'd find that to be a feature not worth implementing.
  3. @egratto oh, boooo! :)
  4. @cookingwithamy Yep. But there was one tonight with some complexity, and one with more fruit. One might be good tomorrow, but closed up.
  5. We're letting the others sit in glass a bit.
  6. Melissa and I doing a tasting of some Carmenere samples I've had in the cellar. First started out good, now smells like skunk. 1 corked.
  7. Short history of Merriam-Webster and Webster dictionaries: http://www.syaross.org/writ...
  8. New OWF post: Tasting notes for Black Box wines. http://bit.ly/1cWZan
  9. @chezpim You're inspiring me to finally make my own. Took June's class way back when, but haven't made any since.
  10. Early lunch/late breakfast: Bakesale Betty's fried chicken sandwich.
  11. Finally playing with Lists feature. A bit cumbersome, and I'm not sure of the value to me. I don't mind seeing all tweets jumbled together.
  12. @sixy I deviated a bit and finished it with sesame oil. Which I admit added a nice flavor after hours of toil.
  13. @mentalmasala I've never met anyone else who knows beureks. My family was German-Russian from along the Volga and making them's a tradition.
  14. @NightStirrings it lacks NZ Suv blanciness. Mostly light aromas of tropical fruit with decent acidity. Very little lime/gooseberry.
  15. Dinner tonight: cheese fondue and @101cookbooks' shredded green bean salad. To drink: Trying Black Box NZ Sauvignon Blanc (sample)
  16. @tea_austen @ruhlman on the other hand, I'm hand-slicing a billion green beans for @101cookbooks' shredded green bean salad. Go figure.
  17. For the record: no slam on @vinography intended. Just hoping for a powerful variety ally in the endgame of the debate.
  18. @ruhlman one answer to your long-ago query. Tonight I'm making fondue and will use my food processor to grate all the cheese.
  19. (And yes, I realize that I am one of the last people in the whole world who care about varietal as a synonym for grape variety.)
  20. Catching up on @vinography and happy to see (in wines of Lodi at least) that he's dropped incorrect use of "varietal."
