  1. Having done an anthology of Estonian fiction we will do one for Lithuanian fiction next year.
  2. There will be an event at Waterstones in Brussels on 22/6 7pm for The Last of the Vostyachs with Diego Marani.
  3. Dedalus has sold Australian & NZ rights of New Finnish Grammar and The Last of the Vostyachs, both by Diego Marani. to Text Publishers.
  4. Next Dedalus book is a new edition of Exquisite Corpse by Robert Irwin with stills from Kevin Jackson's short film of the book on the cover.
  5. There is a review of the 2 new Diego Marani books coming in The Spectator next week. Diego will be on at Bristol University on 14 June.

  7. The 15-minute film of The Last of the Vostyachs wil be ready shortly and we will be arranging big screen showings around the UK.

  11. New Finnish Grammar did not win either of The Independent Foreign Fiction Prize of The Best Translated Book Prize.
  12. Blackwells in Oxford yesterday sold its 500th copy of New Finnish Grammar which is a great achievement.
  13. Nice RAC went off to get parts from a garage to mend our car so we were able to attend an event in Oxford at Blackwells.
  14. Today the winner of The Independent Foreign Fiction Prize is announced.New Finnish Grammar is one of 6 books on the shortlist.
  15. Smoked Meat by Rowena Macdonald was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize 2012. '
  16. The Arts Council Fiction Group Publisher for May is Flambard and the recommended title Smoked Meat Rowena by Macdonald.
