  2. Monday 11/16, University honored the Jesuit Martyrs murdered in El Salvador on 11/16/89. Beautiful homily by Fr. President Privett.
  3. Public Interest Law Foundation honoree was Justice Carlos Moreno, particularly honored for his work with foster children. Inspiring.
  4. Auction a great success. Last year's 100,000 take likely to be met. Means students all over the globe doing good works.
  5. And tonight: The Public Interest Law Foundation Annual Auction...goal to raise over $100,000 for summer community work by students.

  7. The trademark conference was sponsored jointly by USF and Microsoft as well as the Chinese law firm Unitalen. .
  8. The trademark conference featured USF's Professors Franklyn and McCarthy and brought together WIPO, INTA, and giants such as Google.
  9. And last week: Stunning trademark conference hosted by USF Law: The Brand as Property. Hundreds attended.
  10. Federal District Judge Armstrong, Class of '77, presented the award to Ms. Kevin who will graduate in 2012. 50 alums looked on. Inspiring.
  11. Ms. Kevin worked in inner city schools in LA and is emblematic of our mission to Educate Minds and Hearts to Change the World.
  12. Last night the USF Women Lawyers Committee honored first year student Maya Kevin who received the transitional student scholarship.
  13. Judge Miller will be deeply missed by her friends and colleagues.
  14. Judge Miller was a leader among judges, much honored and sitting on the probate and family law benches.
  15. USF lost a great alum and the community lost a great Judge with the death of Barbara Miller, Class of 1978.
  16. Students were lucky to hear his life story as they seek to become ethical, engaged, committed lawyers to which USF law is dedicated.
  17. Labor organizers,workers,those unfairly accused all have benefitted from Mr. Swerdlow's work. He claims compassion as his guiding principle.
  18. Since graduating from law school, Mr. Swerdlow has represented workers and other 'dissidents' as he calls them pro bono to promote justice.
  19. Mr. Swerdlow still practices, is sharp as a tack, and inspired a packed room with stories of ethical, courageous lawyering over a lifetime.
  20. So who is Harry Swerdlow? A wonderful 92 year old lawyer who Prof David Franklyn brought to the law school last week to talk to students!
