  1. @LynnMontagano but it's a mammal! Still needs to be put down though!
  2. Happy Carl Sagan Day to y'all star-stuff objects out there! http://www.carlsaganday.com/
  3. The @litl stuff looks pretty awesome; http://litl.com
  4. I actually kinda liked V
  5. @jonmasters ugh, I misread that as "Atheists of Fedora"
  6. @kernelslacker The original V is actually made of awesome - can't wait for the remake to air on Wednesday on ABC!
  7. @jonmccann I use Ctrl+Shift+T, sometimes multiple times (then I close the ones I don't need)
  8. @nalind cf. http://bit.ly/J31uV - e.g. Red, Green and Blue Mars - totally recommended reading
  9. @nalind If you find DST weird, try out Mars with a 40 minute timeslip (where the clock is frozen) every day. Just to synchronize with Terra
  10. Walked into mini-spiderman in the convenience store while attempting to replenish my apartment
  11. Gah, this bloody USB stick is silently corrupting data. Really need the emerging end-to-end data integrity bits e.g. http://tiny.cc/3sBfx
  12. Man... Got a 'diff: memory exhausted' .. while diffing two 500MB files on a laptop with 2GB RAM. Stay Classy, GNU Diff
  13. @mcepl oh, ok.. you just got me all worked up one of my favorite pet peeves for nothing then ;-)
  14. This approach could even work great for a micro display server (like wayland) - save state in shared memory or tmpfs and read it at startup
  15. And with modern a software architecture, you just abort on malloc() and let a helper or the bus daemon (for D-Bus services) restart you
  16. @mcepl abort on malloc() is insane? I beg to differ. Pretending to handle malloc() failures, OTOH, is insane. No-one ever gets it right.
  17. The icon for p.os.dk is creepy though - A whole planet with only Danes? Makes me think of C.V. Jørgensen's "Middelmands Bunker" ;-)
  18. Wow, w00t, didn't notice http://planet.opensource.dk/ until one of the maintainers mailed me to ask if it was OK to add my blog
  19. @jimmac When I moved to the US, SMS didn't really work and no-one used it. Five years later, now almost as popular as back in Europe
  20. The girl got me a bottle of Drumgray Highland Cream from Scotland. Yay, can't wait to try it. Now, heading to the office
