  1. @RobertFischer why are you not letting the tomatoes win?
  2. RT @wordwill: This is *exactly* why I've decided not to buy a Kindle, and it's why DRM is fucking EVIL: http://tinyurl.com/l928mb [agree]
  3. Wow, is this confusing. What programmer would ask for this feature? I think I'm still stuck at stage 4 http://bit.ly/dE3Fs #scala
  4. reasons why dyn.langs are easy: "null == false", regex literals, hash/array literals, "return null if XXX". no reason for java to omit this
  5. radio buttons only + submit button == FAIL #toomanyclicks
  6. @the1stdude Twitter's owners maybe working on $$ for themselves via a sale, but I doubt much else is real
  7. I don't get why twitter isn't making iphone apps charging (push: where are they?) Seems obvious, but they are leaving money on the table
  8. If a dependency is invalid, WHY IS THAT ONLY A WARNING?!?!?! #mavensucks
  9. Maven: Just failed downloading a jar, no worries; I'll leave it there AND continue the build, which will now fail. #mavensucks
  10. ahh DC: "...each time the Council acts in this fashion it is implicitly creating an exception to the law that the Council, itself, passed."
  11. Just spent more time documenting a feature than would take to just have implemented and tested it.
  12. on interfaces: co-worker was asked to extract interface from abst. class. "Any new implementors?" "no". why then?!?!
  13. @burntsugar Of course I do, but not by default unless there's a reason. I never use "Impl"; that's just bad naming
  14. @burntsugar "Impl" is your first clue that you've done something wrong with interfaces
  15. RT @blindgaenger Don't use interfaces just because someone told you it's "good style" … if you don't need them it is NOT! #argh #dev
  16. Just finishes rereading Dark Knight Returns; sooo amazing. Here's hoping Nolan and Bale team up for it in about 20 years.
  17. @warneronstine this is as if I were paying the premium for the work plan, I'm not paying it directly, obviously, but really I am via salary
  18. @warneronstine max yearly amount I could pay is MUCH less than same for work plan, including premiums
  19. @warneronstine interesting; I don't feel I'm a model of health, but not overweight; have much better cov. than work provides at 1/3rd the $$
  20. @warneronstine Individual plans now for healthy people are always cheaper than work-sponsored plans.
