  1. @nathanrice I use some software called ScreenSteps for writing documentation - a real time saver. Worth a look?
  2. This is going to be one very long, tiring and hard working week. Enquiries have flooded in over the past week or so.
  3. @carlhancock yes, I was surprised how, uhm, personal it all got.
  4. @adii as the partner of a qualified translator I'd just like to warn you that the quality can be variable - especially with complex phrases.
  5. @themelab aw shucks - I'd pulled up a chair and everything. My position is neutral (though some think it's not) so I'm siding with nobody!
  6. Final stage of a procurement process hits the meeting point on Friday. Could be a major new user of WP in the UK.
  7. @LadyDirt my position is actually pretty neutral - I'm neither for nor against. It's a license around which business decisions are made.
  8. Oh look - another GPL row in WordPress land. Even decided to wade in, damn.
  9. Interesting, our most downloaded theme ever is now the one with the best design but least optimisation applied - big images win. Hmmmm...
  10. @moviedan It's a tricky one - it's easy to get 10,000 or more downloads, for an effective investment of £10,000 - but only for free themes!
  11. @moviedan when the GPL row blew up around us we got a bit disheartened - it's very hard to compete against free. Services make us more.
  12. 18 months ago we had the concept for the Spectacu.la WP themes club. Since then we've learned an awful lot - things are going to change.
  13. Hmmm - looking for ingredients I just found a jar marked 'Best before Dec 2003.' Possibly best I don't use that...
  14. @Caridi yes, and there are measures to protect against that. It's very unlikely most Peruvians would get asylum, for example.
  15. Oh, and when I hear people moan about 'bogus asylum seekers' I die a little. There are some, but the majority are just escaping crap lives.
  16. Supporting Human Rights isn't just about being a wimpy liberal, it's about stopping stuff like: http://bit.ly/3LNnea
  17. OK... now that I'm on Google Wave (thanks @KlausLovgreen!) I now need more people I know who are on it. DM me your GW addr to get added!
  18. @CyranDorman Newsham Park was the first park I can remember - used to live in Marlborough Road, not far from there.
  19. Oh my God - that's once condemmed Google Driver. Poor guy's gone to hell... http://bit.ly/3N9alS
  20. @calmbanana I imagine it's like nursing, but the other way around. I agree, anyway - it's a far too macho and BS laden industry.
