  1. My cellist son thinks an $800 bow might be a good Christmas gift to get him. Gulp! At least he's not asking for a Porsche... yet.
  2. A forecast low of 33F just sucks. To protect or not to protect, that is the question.
  3. We dropped to the upper 20s late Fri night & are headed for 71F by Tues. 50 degree temp swings are anything but boring.
  4. @pauljessup Hopefully in the game someone can get the buzzsaw blade rail gun and do a little long range pruning.
  5. Apparently the Great Houston Blizzard of '09 has run its course. We'll be chillin out now. Quite literally.
  6. Tah dah! My first ever pair of eyeglasses sits now atop my nose. Like the progressive lens flexibility. It feels a bit Hollywood-ish.
  7. OTOH, since I've got new landscape plants, I need to figure out which require protection. Or I could blow it off & let the freeze show me.
  8. No snow yet in SE Texas. My Jr High boys weren't pleased to trudge off to the bus instead of enjoying a snow day off.
  9. In case you're just dying to... to tweet in Klingon, go here: http://tweetinklingon.com/ . I'll pass, thankyouverymuch.
  10. Imagine that. Snow tomorrow in Houston. My sons are already confirming what radio station will announce the school closings.
  11. @filamena I always hated being the princess. I make a better troll. Comes naturally.
  12. Here's a wicked gut stab: headlights heading for you from a direction they should never come from. (Thx, Driver, for your epiphany tonight)
  13. Joe Konrath, reacting to the Harlequin kerfuffle, envisions a YouTube biz model for writing: http://is.gd/53pCU. Inevitable, I agree.
  14. A rainy Saturday morning is a good time to perform intense spreadsheet-fu for the day job. #takestheplunge
  15. Planted some more fall flowers today. I get warm-n-fuzzy seeing bright colors dotted across an otherwise drab fall landscape.
  16. Cost for a license of Windows 7 Pro through amazon? $272.99. Darn that inflation.
  17. Got a nudge from amazon.com: Windows XP Pro still proudly for sale. Only $264.49 a license.
  18. @filamena A gamer mom topping the Plants vs. Zombies score of her son and lovingly asserting "Girls rule, boys drool."
  19. Good Heavens, Thanksgiving is next week??? How'd that happen? Did my attention wander for, oh, the last 4 months?
  20. Son tried out for 8th grade b-ball team but, alas, did not make it. Sorry, Son. Bright side=our activities schedule stays merely insane.
