  1. Learning a great piece by @JGHalle and recording as narrator this Wednesday. Looking forward to visiting @BARDCollege for the first time.
  2. OK there are far too many awesome concerts this weekend in NYC...
  3. Looking forward to @evbvd @GuidonianHand @mayr58 and company at @Roulette_Tweets -- tnmf.net/styled/index.h…
  4. reading "Integrating Shamanic Practices and Western Allopathic Medicine" soon to be published & written by my mom-in-law who's an RN.
  5. @mikerugnetta You are officially a God, and Happy Birthday, too...
  6. .@mikerugnetta @david_lynch Also can you even possibly mistake him for someone else given the hair and the fact that he's an adamant smoker?
  7. .@mikerugnetta Wholly incredibly and obnoxiously jealous... Damn you for being so lucky!
  8. Discouraging to find lawyers visiting my site to see if I have deep pockets. Must be nice to be out of touch with reality #LastWordsfromTX
  9. My original score for the feature film (not yet titled) is finished! Now it's off to recording sessions and mixing, lots still to do...
  10. @piesaac ...wanted to address, & perhaps you could use the platform to speak further about machines & indeterminacy which we didn't address.
  11. @piesaac You should go on the show (if you are able) and talk about your piece. We may have inadvertently sidestepped the issues you...
  12. .@natevansmusic @piesaac @whygreenberg Can "en vogue" possibly refer to Cage's writings from 50 yrs ago? His musical works from 20 yrs ago?
  13. @piesaac Thanks, I do think that many performers mistake openness as the main point of indeterminacy whereas I think it's abt limitations.
  14. @piesaac @whygreenberg It's a complicated question. Does a limited group of experts on indeterminacy make it more appealing as a technique?
  15. @piesaac Yes, I'd like to hear more from you. What are the legitimate vs. illegitimate gradations of indetermicy? What role does ego play?
  16. @piesaac Yes the law of averages: only a minor amount of what came out of Oberlin composers was actually progressive, experimental or not.
  17. @piesaac So maybe my education at Oberlin (where experimental music had its own *required* semester-long course for composers) was lucky.
  18. @piesaac ..but I was able to find & embrace performers @ Oberlin who're able to do indeterminant music w/out the baggage of ego & virtuosity
  19. @piesaac ...then we have a problem, as experimental music can't be assimilated into the mainstream. I went to school more than 10 yrs ago...
