  1. My impression is Apress is a good company, but doesn't understand that incompetent failure to pay will lead to snarky tweets.
  2. Two author friends are suffering while APress tries to figure out how to pay them. For months. Bad impression, APress.
  3. @siracusa Maybe I could do a rendition of Kelly Clarkson singing your tweet.
  4. @siracusa It has potential. I have to go where the muse takes me!
  5. New TwitPop! Words by @ihnatko: http://www.punkitup.com/twi...
  6. @justin And the absence of a gatekeeper often leads to mediocre quality. There are definitely pluses and minuses.
  7. @justin Yes, it's a great point, but I just don't agree with the conclusion.
  8. You don't need to tether, man, to know which way the wind blows.
  9. @itsolivia Happy Birthday, girl!
  10. @tcdent But at that point, who cares? Why bother differentiating? It doesn't matter who "wins" if they're indistinguishable.
  11. @tcdent You're right, if (a big if) the web dev technologies are able to access 100% of the desktop features, then it will be a toss up.
  12. @tcdent As long as companies like Apple continue to make desktop computers with unique features, desktop will have an integration advantage.
  13. @cabel We have a chain out here with the slogan "Trust Sleepy's for the rest of your life." It seems kind of foreboding to me.
  14. The very moment web app technologies become "better" than the desktop, we'll just build desktop apps using them, and be even better.
  15. @kickingbear He actually has a modern version of that. Problem is, for safety, the receiver cord is like 4 inches long.
  16. Man, @rentzsch is really sold on web apps, huh? I'm not buying them beating the desktop, but I appreciate his point of view.
  17. My son thinks anything roughly shaped like an iPhone is, in fact, a phone. He's presently talking to a dental floss container.
  18. @AmyJane It's probably the agave wine they use at Mexican restaurants that don't have hard liquor licenses. Pretty gross margaritas.
  19. How come nobody told me @rentzsch has a hella-active Tumblr blog? http://rentzsch.tumblr.com/ (via @justin's carpeaqua).
  20. @Tuklaj Awesome! :)
