  1. @manga_critic I've always been of the opinion cars in Chicago are decorative, because once you move it how could you ever get it back?
  2. @mattthomas most expensive education ever. On the other hand, awesome place to get an AS undergrad degree.
  3. @mattthomas and my alma mater is #14!
  4. RT @PreCur My roundabout approach to a Best Manga of 2009 list: http://precur.wordpress.com/2009/12/20/for-your-eisner-consideration/
  5. @PreCur Wonderful, wonderful choices! Already commented, am just sorry I already posted links to "Best of" lists yesterday....
  6. @swanjun I loved every incarnation of Wesley. I loved him from his first geeky moment on BtVS and never stopped.
  7. @swanjun While they aired I loved AtS more but I know that isn't a popular opinion. (Even I have a hard time defending it...but. Wesley.)
  8. @swanjun @mbeasi God yes. I can NOT have a discussion about (fill in the blank here). ;-)
  9. @mbeasi @swanjun my problem is I really don't know the show as well as I should. I've seen every episode but...I don't *know* them.
  10. @nfntrobin ah. Most of those happy accidents weren't "happy" for me...not all. Just most.
  11. @nfntrobin not because the show doesn't have HIGH high points but because you have to sit through a lot that I don't find compelling
  12. @nfntrobin my favorite Buffy episode of all time is in season 7 (Conversations with Dead People) but I never want to do a rewatch
  13. @swanjun yes, I finally did after this rewatch. They don't quite capture the essence of the show for me but they are nice.
  14. @lukeasaurus I think Buffy and AtS as a whole are too bloated simply because of the way American TV *works*. (Cable shows are the exception)
  15. @lukeasaurus another pointed out that Whedon is at his best when he's limited -- there's just too much junk in a regular season of U.S. tv.
  16. @ysabet_m @funnypages Limits are a great idea (re: UK tv seasons are shorter, more intense. Perfect for him I think)
  17. @funnypages Firefly seems like a brilliant accident. He's certainly talented but U.S. TV is the wrong place for him(UK TV...that might work)
  18. And unlike Dollhouse it wasn't broken from the start (from what I gather from others' commentaries on the show)
  19. I think Firefly remains my favorite Whedon show because he didn't have this toy long enough to break it.
  20. finished the rewatch of Firefly this week with Serenity yesterday and the Whedon commentary of that today. Now I'm out of show and I'm sad.
