  1. @AndrewDignan In 100 more ABs. Zobrist was a pinch-hitter til May. All of his ratios are better than Kinsler's and he's more versatile.
  2. @AndrewDignan Plus, Zobrist plays 2B, SS and anywhere in the outfield. Yes, you take that over Lind, who somehow makes errors at DH.
  3. @AndrewDignan Of course Kinsler is a better player than Zobrist. But look at their stats for the 1st half. Maddon didn't make the wrong call
  4. Michele LaFountain is as bad an ESPN anchor as there has ever been. She actually does pseudo ethnic voices for the Latino or Asian players.
  5. Damn. If the Celtics can just sign Grant Hill and Rasheed Wallace, they would be fielding the Greatest 1999 Team in History.
  6. Federer won, but the match will protect the reputation of Roddick's heart for years. He's got the guts of the Hamburglar.
  7. This match is epic. Obviously. But the quality of tennis -- rallies, non-serve shotmaking -- is well-below last year's.
  8. I can't tell how much of it is Federer's serve and how much is Roddick's exhaustion, but the sheer number of aces is insane.
  9. I know it's un-American, but I'm rooting for Federer. Man should not have Brooklyn Decker + Wimbledon title simultaneously.
  10. It's so strange that NBC is actually showing the Wimbledon final live. With NBC, I just take it for granted that things are delayed.
  11. I've got at least four different fireworks displays going in panorama visible from my couch. Boom. Happy 4th o' July.
  12. More inadequate press conference today: Manny half-assedly apologizing to fans or Palin half-assedly quitting?
  13. I mean, Palin isn't stepping down in disgrace or being defeated in an election. She's coming to the Lower 48, coming for our SOULS.
  14. Folks on Twitter being excited about Sarah Palin stepping down as Gov. of Alaska know this means we'll see *more* of her, right? Not less?
  15. Wait. Spirit is stuck in the sand? And Opportunity isn't doing anything to help? Bitch.
  16. I'm glad for Al Franken, but if Minn. Democrats hadn't propped up a clown for Senate in the first place, this wouldn't have been necessary.
  17. GOAL!!!! Again! 2-0 USA! I'm not getting any work done!!!
  18. Soccer refs give out yellow cards for nothing, but hugging Kaka and pulling him down from behind? Yellow-card-worthy.
  19. Ha. There. Burnett didn't last a SINGLE batter with his no-hitter once I started watching. Good-bye, Yankees-Mets.
  20. Thanks, @AndrewDignan for correcting me on which pitcher is throwing a no-hitter. No thanks, though, for keeping me watching.
