  1. Lastly, putting New Pornographers in the shorter slot before Tegan & Sara was kind of criminal. Come on, people.
  2. Though 'I Will Possess Your Heart' does have a killer bass/piano combo and 'I Need You So Much Closer' w/ fireworks at the end was much fun.
  3. Even at the Bowl, with the LA Phil, I find myself mostly ambivalent to the nice pleasant catalog of Death Cab songs.
  4. @thepretension because Jesus is for gun control, obviously.
  5. Wow, so Public Enemies was surprisingly... just okay. Wouldn't have thought I'd be this unenthused coming out of a movie with tommy guns.
  6. Thinking maybe Public Enemies tonight, but also sort of wondering if Hurt Locker would be a better bet.
  7. Ha, genius... RT @s2da Also, going to a Gaslight Anthem show and having Bruce show up is like going to church and having Jesus show up.
  8. Willing to give Hung a 2nd ep to win me over; didn't realize Alexander Payne was involved. That first 40 min could have been 10 though.
  9. @catch822 ha, no, but the clips/descriptions alone are enough. jess saw part and said, 'he saves her... then they go to prom'. classic.
  10. Let the Right One In was LIKE Twilight, but without the emo, sparkling, angst, douchey hairdos, vacant stares, bad acting.. (ohnocharlimit..
  11. challenges you to beat their #WordFu score of 298. Think you can beat it? http://tinyurl.com/koz9ye
  12. Even to a semi-fanboy like myself, the movie Fanboys just isn't funny. If the cameos are the highlight of your movie, you failed.
  13. Just finished rewatching last episode of Six Feet Under. Will probably remain the best season finale ever for a long, long time.
  14. Proper reviews of two great comedies from LA Film Fest, In the Loop and Humpday, finally up on Under Culture: http://tinyurl.com/n63qvd
  15. Via @hodgman - This could be fun for days. How about Lean Against the Machine? #coolbandsmadeuncool
  16. @s2da How is this still happening? Even after they 'fix' them, they last 9 months? Good news, the turn around time on mine was super quick.
  17. Halfway through Simon Rich's book Ant Farm, and I just started yesterday. It's less book, more collection of quick joke premises, all funny.
  18. Wow, In the Loop was hysterical, with good lines flying so fast the audience was laughing over them.
  19. Power walked to ice cream and back in time to get in line for LA Film Fest movie #2: In the Loop. Looking forward to some Brit humor.
  20. Oh yeah - Humpday was wonderful. Funny and also kinda sweet in a weird way. Chek it out, but don't watch the trailer; gives away too much.
