  1. @dwa yeah, I was thinking the same thing. "This is different than the typical Julie... how, exactly?"
  2. @mikeliebhold Good, in my opinion. Echo chambers are not useful communication mechanisms. Think and share, don't just repeat someone else.
  3. OpenLayers 2.8 Released: http://bit.ly/ol_28 . Get your vector text, ArcXML, and more in this new release.
  4. Sometimes, I wish that being a defender of social justice didn't mean you had to be So. Damn. Chatty. Curse you, talkative bank tellers!
  5. @JamesFee: Looks like a prime candidate for http://gallery.openlayers.org/ to me.
  6. Dropped data plan on phone yesterday. Rep for tmo had been working there three years and never heard of my data plan. Ancient plan ftw?
  7. @ajturner SMS is unreliable, unsuitable for anything but 'last resort', dangerous to mislead public otherwise. But see http://tr.im/oovz
  8. Hey, I guess Ive been married two years today or something. Hooray! Still loving @jpallan more every day. (And happy birthday @pie_is_good!)
  9. Asked to look into GMaps AdSense for content. Wonder why none of the demos display any ads. Realize that adblock plus is on. Smack forehead.
  10. @lokeshdhakar It's not the apps anymore. In the past, it was the twitter.com UI, but now it's built into the API: everything goes to bit.ly.
  11. @richardf Excellent summary. Of course, the key point -- as it relates to OSM - is still "Don't", but the collection is a great resource. ++
  12. @pie_is_good You could do like I've done all day, and watch Knight Rider (2008) on Hulu.
  13. had a great time with @rsarver, @devon and friends last night (and made it home okay, though i begged a ride for the last couple blocks) :)
  14. With rsarver At l:Kingston station. This has a lot of history that I'm too drunk to tweet more. Apologies to all.
  15. Cell phone survived trip through washing machine not significantly worse for the wear. Yay. Missing for 7 days: felt vaugely disconnected.
  16. Hm, cool videos from Where 2.0 online, but... can't find MetaCarta's from 09. Uploaded some specific subset? Or just not done yet?
  17. Wondering where my weekend went. Oh right, I was a lazy bum. What should I do today to make up for it?
  18. @geobabbler Yep, thanks: URL for that post (for the interested) is http://bit.ly/2seze
  19. @ajturner I believe the term 'slippy map' was first used online by @fantomplanet following a conversation with John Frank (of MetaCarta)
  20. Disappointed in lackluster response to Recovery Map. Shame to see something I was so excited about be universally panned -- not used to it.
