  3. Loving the little Malva neglecta plants popping up around the yard. Tasty, calming, cooling, mucilaginous. My favorite common name: cheeses.

  7. I love the fact that witch hazel blooms in the fall.
  8. Invented tasty walnut bars! (Something like 1C ground walnuts, 1/2C butter, 2 eggs, 1/3C maple syrup, 2T rice flour, 1t vanilla.)
  9. New blog post: Lymph love: skin brushing. http://bit.ly/hBxaD

  11. Loving the fresh meyer lemons my mother brought me from California.
  12. Really enjoying _Discovering Hedgerows_ by Streeter and Richardson. Beautiful book about the plants and ecology of British hedgerows.
  13. Marcella Hazan on The Splendid Table: "Simplicity and taste. Look at the taste first and don't try to make too much things with the food."

  15. @MorganBotanical Yay! Don't forget to let it sit overnight. It's almost a crime to eat it the first day, it's so much better on the second.
  16. Making summertime gumbo, the way my great-grandmother did. (Bacon, onions, garlic, peppers, okra, tomatoes, chicken, and sweet corn.)
  17. @AbbyArtemisia I don't know what it is, but weird things are happening around here, too...
  18. Eliot Coleman, Debunking the meat/climate change myth: http://bit.ly/2LoYL (Thanks Darcey!)
