  1. Dutch weather is infuriating, like just now cycling to station. Makes me want to take revenge by driving the biggest SUV *everywhere*.
  2. Still preparing for InfoVis lecture tomorrow, time-slicing with taking care of mini-me. Productivity is easy, kids make it challenging. :)
  3. @japetheape Heb je dan geen ezel?!
  4. @barryirwin Don't you mean Bruce Schneier? (you used "Schnier" twice) I'm not a security expert, but I am a Professional Pedant. :P
  5. writing a drop-in replacement for my windows utility envedit ( http://bit.ly/OipSP ) that is 20 times smaller! (autohotkey is HUGE fun!)
  6. If I had an annotation-capable a4-sized ebook reader with pdf support, I could save a few thousand pages of real paper per year.
  7. @davidrichfield You're right. I am still infatuated however. :)
  8. It really pains me to say this, but I think I might be falling in love with... WINDOWS 7.
  9. In case you've forgotten: NEVER EVER buy ANYTHING from ATI, you'll regret it for years to come. Case in point: The Catalyst Control Center.
  10. @bastijnv hehe it's not that dark here!
  11. The Windows 7 SuperBar is really very nice!
  12. @mjturner Durn. MS beat the FOSS world again with FAT64 aka exFat. :)
  13. @mjturner Sure, but you get screwed by ownership on different machines, plus that Windows (at least XP) often blankly refuses to unmount!
  14. Why is there no multi-OS filesystem for removable disks that supports large files? ntfs, ext{2,3} each have their own problems.
  15. Windows 7 installed and customised on extra partition on netbook. It was THAT easy, and my 9 hour+ battery life seems to be intact.
  16. So now I'm tweeting from Google Wave. That's really hip right?
  17. one more chapter in this teaching portfolio. have...to...keep...going!
  18. Your GMail account can be relatively easily hacked over insecure wifi: http://bit.ly/2Wg74F (SSL always obviously fixes this)
  19. Writing a mini-thesis on my teaching activities of the past years. Were you a student of mine? Feel free to mail me gripes / compliments! :)
  20. @bastijnv In contrast to its research, TU Delft has a fine track record in horribly screwing up IT: website, central email, roostersite.
