  1. Have been putting dried daphnia in the tank to see if they will live in it. So far, nothing.
  2. Have to decide whether to break 20-gal tank down and clean it or just buy more fish.
  3. Have not seen anything in fishtank. No more live shrimp? :(
  4. Dead shrimp found. :(
  5. Still only two algae-eating shrimp in 20-gal tank. Gotten quite lazy, not having fish that need to be fed every day.
  6. Finally bought aquarium light tube for 20 gal tank. w/light, now can see that shrimp are fine but java moss a bit peaked (fine by me).
  7. Very odd choice of word ("ponderous") to describe one of the more intelligent invertebrate on earth/in the seas. #CuttlefishRule!
  8. Wonder how long the aquarium can stand to have no light as the tube isn't working & no plans to go to OSH/Home Depot. Will it harm shrimp?
  9. Actually, I have no fish left - just a couple of algae eating shrimp and a lot of algae (the shrimp are falling down on the job).
  10. Oops, forgot to buy new fluorescent tube for fishtank. My poor fish!
  11. Forget keeping a journal for each fishtank; Twitter can be used for that. Plus, no entry over 140 chars anyway.
  12. My last guppy (a female) died. All I have now are two alga eating shrimp.
  13. Poor male guppy died. Will consider more fish soon.
  14. Down to 3 guppies (2 females, 1 male), 2 alga eating shrimp, and too many icky snails to count - can't get rid of snails w/o harming shrimps
  15. C. pygmaeus almost doesn't look like a cory: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5e/Corydoras_pygmaeus5333.jpg
  16. Here's what C. hastatus looks like: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f4/Corydoras_hastatus.jpg - cute, yes?
  17. Although I don't have any right now.
  18. My favorite cories are Corydoras hastatus and Corydoras pygmaeus.
