  1. Chicken Chowder - C3 C roast (ie. cooked) chicken + 2-3 C broth + 1 can sweet corn + spices + 1 can cream of chicken soup. Cook for 2 hours.
  2. Roasted sweet potato sticks last night and they were perfectly tender with a touch of saltiness.
  3. Caribbean jerk chicken for dinner tonight. Thanksgiving part II tomorrow.
  4. It's grilled cheese or tuna melt weather today.

  9. Thanksgiving dinner in Ireland! Roast in the oven, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, stuffing, and cranberry sauce - my kitchen smells GOOD!
  10. Looking forward to winging an American Thanksgiving in Ireland tomorrow. No planning, just hunger, sense of adventure & The English Market.
  11. Thought of Dagwood Bumstead last night as I was making my dinner - a big layered sandwich with lots of pickles.
  12. Dinner tonight: roast chicken sauteed with capers, lemon juice, tomatoes, butter, black pepper then tossed with cooked couscous. YUMMY!
  13. Made homemade inari sushi for dinner and avoided going out in the windy downpour that is Cork City weather.
  14. Weather outside is frightful! Wind, rain, more wind. Staying in with grilled cheese and tomato soup. Adding fresh basil to feel like summer.

  16. It only took 18 months living in Ireland, but now I can't start my day without a morning cuppa tea.

  18. Last night, had a homesick night in - pretzels, dark chocolate peanut M&Ms, tomato soup from a can, and 'Wedding Crashers' (set in Maryland)
  19. Tonight, I am cheating at dinner. Canned cream of chicken soup with Old Bay & freshly ground black pepper. To me, Old Bay tastes like home.
